What data QuizArena AI collects when you play, why we collect it, who processes it and how you can delete it.
1. Data we collect
Account data: your mobile number (used only to sign you in with a one-time password), display name, selected country, app language and question language.
Gameplay data: quizzes played, answers, scores, accuracy, streaks, coin balance, coin transactions, power-ups owned, referral code and referral links, room and tournament participation.
Device and usage data: approximate country derived from your phone dial code, push notification token if you enable reminders, and basic technical logs needed to keep the service running and secure.
Payment data: if you buy coins we store the order id, payment id, amount, currency and status. Card, UPI and bank details are handled entirely by the payment gateway and never reach our servers.
2. Why we use it
To create and secure your account, deliver one-time passwords, and prevent fraud, duplicate referrals and automated abuse.
To run the game: serve questions you have not seen before, adapt difficulty to your skill rating, calculate scores, coins, leaderboards and prizes.
To translate questions into your selected language and to generate quiz content using an AI provider configured by the operator.
To send you gameplay notifications (tournaments, rewards, reminders) when you opt in, and to show ads where enabled.
3. Who we share it with
Hosting and database: our managed cloud backend stores your profile and gameplay records.
SMS/OTP providers (for example Firebase, Twilio or MSG91, depending on your country) receive your phone number solely to deliver the login code.
Payment gateway (Razorpay) receives order details to process purchases.
AI provider (OpenAI) receives question text for generation and translation. It never receives your phone number or account identifiers.
Advertising and push partners (Google AdSense/AdMob, OneSignal) when those features are enabled. We never sell your personal data.
4. Retention and deletion
We keep your account data while your account exists. One-time password records are deleted or expire shortly after use.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated gameplay data by writing to support@quizarenaai.com. We action verified requests within 30 days. Purchase records may be retained longer where tax or accounting law requires it.
5. Your rights
You can access, correct or export your data, withdraw consent for notifications, and object to processing by contacting us at support@quizarenaai.com.
Data is protected by row-level security so that only you (and the operator's admin account) can read your records.
6. Children
QuizArena AI is not intended for users under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children; if we learn we have, we delete it.
